Street Live

Opening up the other's experience of the neighbourhood
Neighbourhoods in big cities are sometimes inhabited by several communities, all with their own rhythms and places, rarely interacting with each other. Street Live breaks the bubbles. Through videoclips augmented in the phone’s camera image, it allows users to experience a neighbourhood through someone else’s eyes. Short videos contain local myths, memories and funfacts of the participant’s direct surroundings. The viewer scans the streets and finds the videos augmented in the streetscape.

“ I work in that castle at the end of the street. Many people just walk by, but it is actually where cricket was invented. ”

“ My dad used to be a regular in that bar. It was a lot rougher around here back then, way different than things are now. ”
